Shopsmith Tenon MASTER Jig
Cut Perfect Tenons Every Time with the Tenon MASTER Jig
Shopsmith Tenon Master Jig
The Shopsmith Tenon Master Jig was designed with a wide, flat face that holds workpieces exactly perpendicular to your Mark 7 or Mark V worktable top. Although it is used primarily with the table saw for creating tenons on the ends of boards, it is equally useful for holding and guiding workpieces through all types of operations on other tools as well. For example, it can also be used to support and guide workpieces on your Shopsmith Belt Sander or Bandsaw.
Made of heavy, cast aluminium, it offers a large, comfortable knob for optimum control... and a built-in mitre bar that fits your Shopsmith Mark 7 or Mark V worktable, Belt Sander and Bandsaw.
A toggle clamp is included to help you grip the workpiece, as is an arced wooden Trunion that you can use to provide back-up support when working with stock that has angled ends... for example, when cutting spline grooves for the mating faces of mitres, such as those on picture frames and similar projects.
This is a very versatile accessory with numerous work-saving and precision-enhancing applications.

I have one used available at half price 14.99
Service1 Shopsmith MK V service-drop off and collection If you have a Shopsmith machine when was it last serviced?
In fact, if you bought it secondhand, has it EVER been serviced?
I have frequently been asked where to get this done, and used to say Craft Supplies, but now they are gone I have decided to offer this service myself.
I have had training by the UK Shopsmith expert, who has now retired, and have a supply of the requisite spares available to be able to carry out this task.
My workshop has the requisite factory jigs and tools plus all the technical manuals for this task.
It makes sense to have your machine serviced, you do it for your car without thinking.
A few things NOT to do.
Wait until it goes wrong.
Strip it apart when it does, and have no idea how to re-assemble it.
Struggle with a stiffening speed dial, hoping it will get better. (it won't!)
Wonder why it doesn't sound as smooth as it used to.
Worry about that slight burning smell as the saw bogs down.
My standard service charge is for labour only, with parts extra.
Shipping can be arranged for collection and return delivery ( see itens 2 and 3)
All you have to do next is CONTACT me
Then you need to parcel up the headstock in a box
(I will explain how to get it off your machine)
Your Shopsmith MK V machine is extremely robust being of typical American manufacture but like all machines it requires use and care
A typically service may require one belt or both but if your machine has the older style switch I will replace it with a modern dust proof alternative. This will require alteration of the switch aperture. New bearings may be required if they have seized or are out of tolerance. The speed dial assembly is very easily damaged by a lack of lubrication so if yours starts to get stiff to use, give me a call BEFORE you damage it. The electric motor will be checked over and cleaned. You will get back a motor running smooth and sweet as the day you bought it 75.00
Service2 Shopsmith MK V service-drop off, return via courier Shopsmith MK V service with drop off and return shipping by carrier.
This is recommended to be done every two years of use and is even more important if you have left your machine standing for long periods of inactivity. If you have recently purchased your machine and are unsure of the history then please contact me for advice.
This service is for both the 500 and 510 model motors. The service will include a complete strip down and inspection of all working parts. All items will be checked for damage and fully cleaned and lubricated ready before re-assembly. The tolerances of all bearings will be carried out in the motor drive train including the checking of the sheaves assemblies. The same will be done for the quill assembly to ensure smooth operation. The speed dial assembly is very easily damaged by a lack of lubrication and infiltration of dust so if yours starts to get stiff to use give me a call BEFORE you damage it.
